A foraging basket woven on a frame. Traditionally, these would be considered as disposable items, made on the spot out of anything weavable (brambles, honeysuckle etc.) and thrown away later. This one will last a bit longer! Made from old French willow and having a dip at either end to stop those eggs from rolling around too much.

A little experiment here. Woven in semi-green local willow and dogwood (semi-green willow has been picked and left for about 8 weeks). The leather handle works well with the willow and makes a stunning partner to this colourful shopper. The waling has been picked out in white. The price of this basket is discounted.

This is a very special design - a basket made upside down (traditionally from hedgerow plants). The rods are scallomed onto a frame and used to make the base. Once used as a gathering basket that could be thrown away. Too cute to leave behind! This one is made from Wissander and has a simple twisted handle.
